Death after Taser use shocks kin

A middle-aged real estate agent who died early this morning after Denver police used a Taser on him was a devoted family man and a hard worker whose death shocked his family and co-workers.

Police said Romero was acting wildly and flailing around when they arrived around 3:15 a.m. Police said Romero was striking things and charged
police when they tried to arrest him. Police shot him with a Taser, then handcuffed him. An ambulance was called, as is usually done when a Taser is used.

He was a hard worker, a Christian man who didn't smoke or drink," said Romero's stepson, Bobby Rivera, 30, who said he didn't see the incident. "He was in good shape, he was a little overweight, but he was healthy. Yesterday, we were moving furniture; he was fine."

Police spokesman Sonny Jackson said authorities do not know why Romero was acting wildly, and an investigation is underway.

Oh, let's list the reasons why someone so apparently normal might act so strangely, even without taking illegal drugs:

1) Temporal or Frontal Lobe Epilepsy
2) Sleepwalking (possibly caused by a prescription sleep aid)
3) Stroke
4) Drug interaction
5) Psychotic break

2. that's what I was going to suggest: undiagnosed type 2 diabetes.
When they said he was overweight, that's the first thing I thought.
