Senate Voted "Ay" on Stupid, toothless Cornyn "Sense of Senate" Bill
Edited on Tue Jul-17-07 02:14 PM by The Cleaner
Cornyn's amendment, toothless and silly, a statement that says, "Iraq must not become a failed state and a safe haven for terrorists," just passed 94-3.

It holds NO WATER and does not hold Bush accountable for anything. It is strictly political. At the same time, mostly all Dems it seems (with the exception of Feingold) are voting "ay."

And newsflash - Iraq already is a training ground and safe haven for terrorists - why do they think Al Zawahiri keeps telling future recruits, "come to Iraq, we will train you for jihad, we will give you safe haven?"

4. Why the heck are Dems letting GOPers get away with this shit
Dems were never allowed to add amendments/bills when GOPers were in charge.

Bring such an amendment up for a vote is idiotic.
