Pelosi to lead march on Senate tonight during Iraq debate
by John Aravosis (DC) · 7/17/2007 05:04:00 PM ET

I just heard that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is going to lead a march of House members from the House to the Senate tonight to lend their support to Senate Democrats who are holding an all-night session to challenge the Republicans' ongoing filibuster of efforts to change the course in Iraq.

4. Of historic significance, I'd say.
This may be an event that will be taught about in U.S. History classes in the future! (At least, I hope it'll have that level of significant result...)

Maybe teach them some inspiring songs they can sing to keep spirits up?

Seriously, though, they should invite all Americans in the area who want the war to end to march with them. I wish they had thought to organize a larger march beforehand.

I'm dying here, the blogospehere isn't reporting adequately AT ALL. There is too much extraneous white noise irrelevantly chit chat about drinks being enjoyed baseball game scores inserted, ......commentary on Senators, outfits, a perfect mirror reflection of the MSM infotainment style
2 years ago William Rivers Pitt did an excellent live blog on a march in Washington.
Years ago NPR did a live broadcast of the Thomas/Hill Senate discussion for several days running...................today they are "fund raising"! and doing the usual cutesy, clueless, yuppee shtick!

36. CSPAN.COM
They stream audio for all 3 channels.
the streams are fairly low BW for the audio so you should be able to get them on dial up... just don't try to do anything else.. like breath, because you wont have the remaining speed ;).

what is it cspan.com
cspan2.com
cspan3.com I think
anyway google it, the streams are on their main site I think, if not a little digging will get you there :)

After the all night filibuster, not one damn vote has changed.. Everything still remains the same.. No deadline, continue war, and the attack of Iran still on the table..
Spineless, cowardly pieces of shit.. All of them!!!

I watched all night last night, I did not see any March.. Too much Chamomile I guess, they just couldn't stay awake long enough. You know how those grammar school aged people get sleepy early in the night?

give them a chance. They just totally pulled the bill which means there will be no funding if they go on vacation in august as funding runs out end of september. They are not caving in this time, I'm finally proud of them.

Are you serious? Hell yes... Either way we are going to die, so what the fuck does it really matter? Besides this is nothing more than theatrics.. AGAIN... Nothing will change as I said before... Nothing.. The war will continue... If not with Iraq, then Iran.. The troops are not coming home.. Trust me on that one. It's all nothing more than stall tactics.. The only thing Reid accomplished was getting reps on record for voting against the war.. What's new, we knew that already!

45. Did you read what I posted? There will be no funding
unless republicans cave in and vote on the ammendment which will in turn start withdrawing troops very soon. So thanks to Reid they have 2 choices, stop the funding now or approve funding with a withdraw clause deadline.
