Littman: Only One Person Can Stop W: His Father
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/matt-littman/only-one-person-can-stop-_b_56654.html

Last 4 paragraphs:

What can stop him? There is only one answer: his father. This is an epic confrontation that needs to take place, except it's the opposite of Luke Skywalker vs. Darth Vader -- in this case, the father is the hero, and his son is evil.

George Bush needs to take George W. aside. Actually, he needs to grab him by his lapels and throw him up against a wall. He needs to make sure he understands the error of his ways, now, before W. drops a bomb on Tehran, before he decides that we need another surge of troops in Baghdad.

George Bush, the Elder, you have a responsibility to this country. You fought for it in World War II, you spent many years in public service, and now your son has gone off the deep end. You are the only one who can save him, and save us.

I ask you to intervene, before it's too late. According to your son. a gift of the Almighty is freedom. Take his word for it and free us from this crazy president.

2. I think the idea that Bush I can or even would counsel his son/resulting in
different choices by * is not even a remote possibility. The only thing that * cares about is oil and money. The Middle East has the oil and the oil companies own *. They all believe they are entitled to our treasury, our sons and daughters and every last dollar in our pockets.

17. Junior is sitting on the Reagan/Bush presidential papers.
If those docs are ever released, the Reagan/Bush legacies will be in the toilet. Poppy's not going to do anything to upset Junior.

8. I don't understand that statement.
For one, The Kid has tried to outdo his father. There were many years they didn't get along, at all. Senior states he has not advised or even discussed The Kid's decisions as Prez, AND, when Poppa gathered his old cronies to do a study on Iraq, The Kid supposedly read the report, but refused to take any advice from the group or enact any of their suggestions. (Did I miss something?)

I can't see where anyone would get that impression...but I've been wrong before.

Personally, I wish Poppa had taken The Kid behind the woodshed a few more times when he had a chance.

9. The time for
the elder Bu$h to reign in his dim-son has come and gone, its way too late for that, but it would help if Poppy would lobby his party to shut * down. They (his admin) could pressure him at every turn and I believe if the Senate RePublics stood against him and started voting with the Dem's more he would have a change in attitude. Nothing changes minds faster than someone realizing he has NO support from anyone.

opposite direction. No person can change busholini's dim brain. He is stuck on a failed notion.

If you remember regarding the victims of Katrina; Barbara chuckled as she said: "So many of the people here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this is working very well for them. So not a kind or compassionate bone in her body. She thinks her sonny boy's sh*t smells sweet.

It'd be fun as HELL to watch! Imagine the Secret Service guys -- "OK, which one do we shoot?"

On point, though, I don't think Poppy will EVER try to rein in Junior. Even though somehow I don't think he's QUITE as evil as W. Poppy lacks the cojones.
