For centuries they wore plaid
and for that they appeared glad
they shouted it from the mountain tops
you need to wear plaid.

Today in America they want you to wear plaid
the other party's members want you to wear plaid.

It doesn't matter what you want, you must wear plaid
according to many of them in other other party.
they say that centuries ago their disciples wear plaid
and their martyr wore plaid. So everyone must wear plaid.

We live in America and I don't want to wear plaid.
You don't have to wear plaid.

Don't let them make you wear plaid. Don't let the other party say they appear
better because they wear plaid, especially when they accidentally get
found out that instead of wearing plaid they get caught wearing polka dots.

Don't let them make you wear plaid and don't get caught into their
hysteria about whether wearing plaid appears desirable.

Don't let them make you wear plaid.
