why does Iran have no right to deal with what goes on with its NEIGHBOR?
But the US, a country on the other side of the earth, think it can make all the rules in Iraq?

Also, why are we to worry about Iran having "growing influence" in the region?

5. Because Iran was actually invaded by Iraq
they're too biased. Because we've never been attacked by Iraq, we can be a good, neutral arbiter of what's in the best interest of the Iraqi people.

7. The Republican logic seems to lead us into a war with all countries.
Just about every country shares a border. Start with Iraq....Iran, Syria, Lebanon....as we take a more aggressive military posture and occupation in Iraq, these countries have a vested interest. So there are fighters from these other countries in Iraq. Hasn't that always happened in all wars? Are we going to go after every country that shares a common border with another country? That's a sure-ass way of eventually justifying war with every country in the world. Good luck with that. We've proven to the world that we are not invincible, we've almost broken our military in a country without a real army. These Republicans need a reality check.
