It's ruff being a Dem in the South, but NC is a lot bluer than most Dem's give it credit for. I think this debate is helping. Especially in the south. People around hear at least are starting to see that the Republicants that they elected don't really have the troops interests in mind. There is a man in my town who lost 2 of his sons in this war, as a way of protest the man goes out every day and plants a white cross for each of our Solders lost on the previous day and he has a sign that displays the current "Death Toll". 3622 white crosses so far. It's very sad and I have to drive past it everyday, and contemplate what these brave men younger than me died for. The sad truth is that they died for nothing. I don't say this lightly. My dad is an Army Ranger so I have a lot of respect for our armed forces. He was against this occupation of Iraq from the beginning just like me.
