I had never heard that...it may even be quite true...but the statement alone and the way he presents information in that manic, frat-boy style (which sounds like he's been doing speedballs), implies that the Left-Wing Media of which CNN is a member, ha ha, did her in.

He also said that he listens to NPR when he was 'eating his granola and doing his breathing exercises' as though the very act of listening to NPR could only be accomplished by a San Francisco Liberal.

He's trying to fill Imus' niche...and trying poorly. Since MSNBC hired him, they've tried to mold him into several personnas...first as the "Hannity/O'Reilly" Conservative then as the "Compassionate Conservative" and now he's being turned into a "Pop Culture" Conservative.

Actually, Joe's an interesting study. The man knows his music...and plays a mean guitar. He's also very sensitive to health issues due to his own family's problems and I could see him listening to NPR...the flipping over to Rushbo for some red meat.

Regarding Kagan...I had heard/read there were several beefs the network had with her in her last days. Rushbo was just one. Her price tag was another. MediaBistro has a ton of stuff on her rise and fall. I'm surprised she hasn't been reunited with her old CNN boyfriend, Billy Hemmer, on Faux Noise.

Joey isn't Imus...in the sense that he doesn't have the timing and routine the I-Man did. While I hated the content, Imus was a master of keeping a show moving and entertaining...Joey doesn't have that experience.
