I think dogfights are a valid issue because I think sadists need to be put away. The diapers are important because of the hypocrisy of those who seem to favor diapers with their sex. However, why we need 42,000 different threads on it, I do not know.

I thought that was what GD was for, stuff more serious than the stuff in the lounge but not necessarily strictly political in the sense of Democratic Party stuff and election stuff and that GD: Political was for the Strictly Political.

But the Dogfighting thing is a serious concern -maybe not relative to global warming or the Iraq war- but it reflects a growing culture that sanctions cruelty to animals. Cruelty to animals is frequently a precursor to cruelty to humans (kids most specifically). It reflects upon our society's values and my hope is that shedding light on NFL QB Michael Vick's slimy involvement may also shake up this illegal industry (not to mention boot him from the NFL).
