Does anyone know who we are fighting in Iraq?
If this 'war' continues ad finitum, don't you think it is time we determine whether it is al-Qaeda, Al Qaida, or Al Qaeda?

It's pretty sad that we don't even know what to call them.

2. The Evildoers was the last coherent message out of the WH some years back
Nothing to report of any merit lately; the surge is merely a buildup for doing Iran.

6. However you spell it, that's NOT who we are fighting in Iraq.
"AlQuaida in Iraq" is a group that didn't exist before we invaded Iraq,
and they began with NO ties to Osama binLaden's organization.

They just stole the "AlQuaida" name for PR purposes- it has a high Q factor,
and it lets people know what they stand for as soon as they hear the name.

NEED to get out.
I'm tired, and so many are.

9. I'm tired too, sister
And that is what the bastards in Washington are hoping for. They want us to give up out of sheer exhaustion of will.

But we won't. We will fight them, expose them, marginalize them, condemn them and, in the end, we will rid ourselves of these evil, despicable
bastards.

8. The Iraqi men, women and children.
In an illegal, immoral, disgusting "supreme crime" war of aggression.

I know what to call them; our victims.

10. "We"?? I don't think anybody here at DU is fighting anybody in Iraq
Edited on Thu Jul-19-07 12:34 AM by Phrogman
But "we" haven't done enough to keep "our" government from sending American kids into the neocons slaughterhouse.

13.  I bet the men and women serving their 4th Deployment are
a little tired, too.

The Busholini Regime is fighting the Iraqi people to garner their oil.

14. We don't know who we are fighting or why we are fighting
but we have spent billions and billions of dollars to do it.

Is there no one who can stop this madness?

17. The Pentagon can't even tell you who we're fighting. Is it the Sunni insurgency?
The Shiia? The Kurds or the Turks? And they haven't a clue about the number of al Qaeda in existence anywhere, much less in Iraq.

18. We are mostly fighting Iraqi citizens that don't want us there
and are pissed off as hell because we have murdered their friends, relatives etc.
For everyday we stay we make 1000 more enemies and fuel hatred towards us.

So called AlQaeda makes up less than 5% of whom we are fighting, and even that 5% wasn't there 5 years ago and have been recruited BECAUSE we are there and attacked a country that did nothing to us.
