2. I have a funny feeling this may be Murdoch's downfall
This time, he's gone a bridge too far and will be pissing off some very powerful interests, who aren't going to be too pleased with his agenda.

4. I Think It's Quite The Opposite
Those same powerful interests, are probably right wing repubs, and they're plenty pleased with his agenda.

11. Good for him
That is a principled stand.

We may disagree with the WSJ editorial page, but no one has ever seriously doubted the journalistic integrity of the Journal.

It appears that is about to change.

14. He's an Australian-born United States citizen
Keith Rupert Murdoch (born 11 March 1931) is an Australian-born United States citizen who is a global media executive and is the controlling shareholder, chairman and managing director of News Corporation, based in New York. Beginning with newspapers, magazines and television stations in his native Australia, Murdoch expanded News Corp into British and American media, and in recent years has become a leading investor in satellite television, the film industry, the Internet, and other forms of media.

He is one of the few chief executives of any multinational media corporation who controls the company by reason of his own stake in it, held via a family trust.
