Bush* controls the Executive and the Judiciary but Congress controls the money
Stop payment on everything. Just stop it. If Justice will no longer follow the rule of law shut it down....That does not take super majority. Stop funding Bush*'s intire operation..

1. My dear friend, that would spark martial law and the shadow govt stepping up to fund the govt...
A failure to fund the government and its obligations has been discussed as a basis for invoking 'martial law.'

Once martial law is invoked because Congress refuses to fund the government, the 'shadow government' could be activated to take the present Congress' place and to act to fund the government and its operations.

You can bet this scenario has been 'gamed' out by this Administration.

2. Then let's do it
Get it out in the open..Let's just see how many of those whackos with their little pop guns are willing to back up their "save us from the government" rhetoric. I mean really what difference would it make. They are in complete control right now anyway..They just pretend Congress has any purpose. Let's get all the cards on the table now......

7. At the present, Congress has the power to investigate... do this and all doors slam shut....
Many posters here have idea about the information that Congress is amassing behind the public proceedings. THere are hundreds of whistleblowers feeding them information who have not been publicly identified. The White House 'fears' what Congress might have.

Tsunami waves do not build overnight, and until they reach shore they are often unnoticed.

Give Congress credit for building their evidence, and not showing all their cards. Time is definitely running out, but so far this Administration has not created the circumstances needed to trigger the 'martial law' and 'shadow govt' scenario.

9. Tsunami waves do not build overnight,
Actually they build much more quickly than that.. In a matter of moments they are launched..All it takes is an event.

13. Why would anybody go before Congress now?
Bush* will protect any on his side and any that come out against him are in a world of hurt.. It is now a lose lose situation for any person to testify before Congress and Congress is powerless to make them testify.

I just don't see any other good way out of this... Don't think that we can wait until Jan 2009 to resolve this thru the ballot box...

14. What is it that VT is anticipating?
I know that they voted to impeach * and there are some rumors that they want to secede but I don't think that will happen.
