If Impeachment is off the table because the Congress has some many more important matters to deal with - in the eyes of some - what are the chances an Inherent Contempt trial would be allowed?

Democracy killed by a spineless House of Representatives, is that what we're headed for?

1. Inherent Contempt of the House would actually be much easier
It would only have to pass the House, and it would be a simple majority. So it would be much easier than an impeachment.

2. Bah
and who's going to enforce it? The House Sergeant-at-Arms?

Nancy wants a job as Royal Bootlicker in the new kingdom (IC is off the table).

5. Royal Bootlicker?
What a way with words you have. If only you had a similar familiarity with facts.

7. Yes, the House Sergeant-at-Arms...
I mean unless they send the army to protect that dumb broad, they can go to her house and arrest her, drag her down to the Capitol and do the whole inherent contempt shebang.

3. Dems are stronger in the House
And, while I'm sure most Republicans would stand firm with President Cementhead, some might be offended enough at the high handed way he has treated their branch of government to switch out.

4. inherent contempt will allow a little mini trial in the house
we could just zip right through this sucker and slap harriet in jail until the end of the term....

impeachment--on the other hand--might take several months. (and look--we have at least several months left until january 09.)
