Another Wrestler's 'Untimely' Death (John Kronus, 34)
http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/story?id=3397651&page=1

For wrestling fans, it's a familiar headline: another pro wrestler dead under mysterious circumstances way before his time.

Authorities in New Hampshire found former professional wrestler John Kronus dead in his girlfriend's apartment after responding to a call describing a 34-year-old "untimely death."

While police are not calling the wrestler's death suspicious, an autopsy and toxicology report are required because of Kronus' youth.

"Because of his age, an autopsy will be performed in Concord," Sgt. Chris Adams, a spokesman for the Laconia, N.H., police department, told ABC News. "They'll determine the cause of death, and most likely they'll do the toxicology report."

1. How soon will Vince McMahon come out to say that steroids had
nothing to do with this unfortunate death? :eyes:

2. I don't think Kronus ever worked for McMahon.
His former partner, Perry Saturn, did. However, I haven't watched WWE much for the past few years, so I could be wrong.

3. WWE owns EWC
I don't know how long it has run the franchise.

Either/or, I was just being snarky. :hi:

4. I understand snarkiness when it concerns McMahon.
I can't stand the prick. However, just for the record, when Kronus worked for ECW, that company was owned entirely by Paul Heyman and Tod Gordon. I watched it a little bit back then.

5. Isn't Heyman still part of ECW? Or is he over at NWA or TNA now?
My son watched WCW/WWF and pretty much ignored ECW early on. Then, When WCW went belly-up he started watching ECW. It's too hard to keep track of all of it.

I don't know if it matters which organization a performer works for. Steroids and pain-killers are like candy in all of them. Just bad news.

6. To be honest, I don't know if Heyman is still with the company.
At one time, he was the head writer for the McMahon version of ECW, then he was sent home. I don't know what his status is now. Like I said, I haven't really watched in a few years. McMahon pretty much ruined the entire industry, in my opinion.

You're right about the steroids and painkillers (not to mention the cocaine that seems to float around in the business). The schedule these guys keep and the pressure to look like a champion bodybuilder while doing it is forcing them to kill themselves with the crap.
