Outside the grocery store, I spoke to a Democratic candidate ... |
|
... who is running to replace Marty Meehan (D-MA) when he retires to head up UMass/Lowell.
There are 5 or 6 Dems vying for Meehan's seat, and they all have positions that I can agree with.
This candidate asked me the usual questions, -- what were my most important issues etc. Then he asked me for my vote.
I said that I hadn't made up my mind, since there is little daylight between the candidates --- and then I said "the first candidate who publicly favors impeachment of Bush, will get my vote."
He looked a little stunned, and said NOTHING.
He just lost one voter.

1. Good response on your part! |
|
Not that I want to be a single issue kind of guy, but impeachment is so beyond necessary, it's unconscionable that it hasn't happened yet.

4. That's my district too |
|
And I'll try that line the next time I run into one of the candidates or their staffers.
