Nothing funny thing about colon problems. At a teaching hospital where I used to work there was a doctor, an anesthesiologist, who ignored his own rectal bleeding for six months. Finally it could no longer be ignored, and it was too late to save his life. Amazing thing for a doctor to do.

The secretary of a female breast cancer surgeon also ignored a lump in her breast, which she'd worried about quietly for years, until she actually died of breast cancer.

If Bush is actually sick, I can't imagine he'll handle it well- either complete denial or a tantrum.

According to the 2001 report of Bush's Presidential Medical Exam (the only one where the actual signed doctor's report has been provided to the media), it lists colonoscopies in 1998 and 1999.
