Dennis Hastert to resign

Looks like Denny cant even hang on to finish his last miserable term.

Wonder what's making him rush things.. maybe his phone number is in a place it shouldnt be??

http://thinkprogress.org/2007/07/20/hastert-to-resign/

Former House Speaker J. Dennis Hastert has indicated to a close former aide that it is likely he will not run for a 12th term from his northern Illinois district and may even resign from Congress before his present term concludes. That runs counter to widespread speculation on Capitol Hill that Hastert will continue in the House for another two years as a private member with no leadership responsibilities.

I guess that's not a CRIME, as long as you have that magic (R)

...so maybe some charges are still in the works?

He wouldn't be writing those kind of checks unless
he KNEW he needed to.

Without the GOP being in charge, the Senate is no fun anymore he thinks. Better opt to go after his second love, money.

Checked out his congressional web site. Curious what committee he now served on. He has not updated his website since December. No listing of present day committee assignments. Still describes him as speaker. Little out of date.

50. Hastert!
I happened to watch ( on cspan) the memorial service in the National Cathedral on 9/14/01! the body language that day told the entire story!
1.triumph in 4 pairs of Bush eyes, EDITED OUT OF ALL LATER MSM NEWSREELS.
2. genuine grief from the Clintons

3.Hastert was having a nervous breakdown all over everybody's shoulder. His emotions were excessive in the extreme! My impression, he's guilty, weak of character & can't handle it.

4.Bill did a very revealing thing, after the service, walking into the cathedral as everyone else was leaving, talking shaking hands, Body language GUILT! His momentary lack of judgment, Monica, had paved the way for this disaster! Gore would have won with a lot more votes had he not been estranged from Bill on moral ethical grounds, during the campaign!

5 Chelsea went after him gently put her arm around her Father and guided him back out of the church almost as if he were blind!
My daughter, also very prescient, witnessed the same thing that day.

It's been a heavy burden to carry for these almost 6 years! Glad I'm finally getting some company! I have refused to keep my mouth shut, in my small conservative town..........consequently was shunned.......
Interestingly, everybody has been VERY FRIENDLY & CHATTY WITH ME LATELY! NOW they know I was right!
Sybil Edmonds has 4; count them four gag orders against her from 4 different court proceedings!
Could those elusive documents be part of the volume of documents LOST or TRASHED by the administration? Give Conyers a break! He's probably trying to get hold of them if they still exist, BEFORE calling Edmunds to the stand with no concrete evidence.
This travesty has been 30 years or more in the making; it's NOT going to be corrected in a few weeks!
