had you actually bothered to read what I wrote, instead of focusing on two words, you would have seen I was making a point that the founding fathers put into place safeguards, they worked out every scenario, the 2nd amendment is America`s guarantee that Bushco won`t prevail.

God forbid it ever comes to that, but I was simply commenting that the constitution, whilst somewhat damaged, is far from being destroyed.

... but ours has been mortally wounded (if not dead) since the '80s. One not need look any further than the RICO laws put in place at that time. And I can't bring myself to delve into what has happened in the last 5 years. What do we have left? :shrug:

Don`t know, but no matter what you believe, I just cannot see 250 odd years of conditioning being handed over that easily..Nor do I ever see the National Guard or the Military turning on their own people, which is what will ultimately have to happen for this power grab to succeed.

The internet is now the 4th branch of government, it has far more power than anything Bush Co can come up with. Hitler succeeded in his takeover with the "Night of the Long Knives, Stalin had his "purges", noone knew about these until after they had happened.... there is one huge difference today, the Internet. Anything happens and the whole of America will know about it 10 seconds later. Look what happened with Katrina, it was the internet that drove the outrage, despite Bush`s attempt to cover it up. Katrina showed the world that once the American public gets pissed off, there is very little anyone can do to stop them. Bush and Cheney will learn this lesson the hard way. It may not be pretty, but it will ultimately see the US prevail...

I know shit seems bad, but the line hasn`t been drawn yet IMHO...
