Cindy Sheehan in Charlottesville this evening - maybe a couple hundred supporters
and about 60 very vocal pro-war, pro-bush "Win the War" supporters.

I was saddened to see so many pro-war types, many young enough to serve themselves IF they really wanted to support the war. Let them go and serve since they are so high on the war. Let our troops come home.

The Rev and Cindy both welcomed the pro-war folks, and said how wonderful it was that we could all be there together expressing our views. They were very good but the true revelation for me was the ex-CIA fellow - Ray McGovern. His speech was quiet, and extremely powerful. He spoke of the CIA and the DSM, and the lies - but he also spoke of the founding fathers, and the Constitution, and the separation of powers, and impeachment. It was fabulous.

1. Thank you for that! I love Cindy and McGovern; it sounds like he might
even have educated a few people. I'm glad you were there!

3. They were quiet when he spoke, don't know if his words convinced them but maybe some doubt seeped in

6. They're are probably furiously googling Ray McGovern, but will find
out he's the real deal. I think he must have done some good.

2. There are so many "knee jerk" followers who have no idea what they are
talking about. Years later they say "Oh my God, you were right, I was so stupid!" but then its, usually, too late.

4. I was rude - as we walked by I pointed straight at them saying "ENLIST! Fight the war you support!"

7. Sounds like the pro-war boys had nothing better to do on a Friday night.
Do you know if Cindy has any other scheduled appearances for this week end?
