FINALLY IT HAPPENS: Ed "I Voted for Bush" Koch says those magic words: "I've given up on this war"

He doesn't completely recant his hysterical beliefs that any day now millions of dagger-wielding Muslims will invade and kill us all and ressurrect the dreaded CALIPHATE. But yeah, he basically finally admits that this war is wrong, although his reasoning seems to mainly be that "American public opinion" has turned against it. That's a pretty pathetic reason to bail out. Utterly unprincipled. I was against the war from the beginning. I honestly have more respect for right-wing lunatics who support the war to the very end than for opportunistic weasels like Koch who supported it when it was mildly popular and then bailed out when it disastrously unpopular. At least scumbags like O'Reilly were sincere about it.

I'm sure we all remember good ol' Ed Koch, who made himself useful during the 2004 campaign along with Zell Miller, going on Fox News as a "Democrat" who conspicuously would trash Democrats. Now the high almighty "I know better than most Americans" jackass has finally ceded that the Iraq War is lost and wants to leave.

Congratulations, Eddy, for finally realizing the truth. But you're still an ass.

3. The time to give up on this war was before it happened. He can...
eat my shit with a spoon and then sign up to go to Iraq and I still won't consider him any more than a enabler of war criminals.

Mr. "Law and Order" -- The same guy who as a councilman representing Greenwich Village in the 1960s, supported the police harassment, arrest and prosecution of gays in NYC.

You were a weasel then and you're a weasel now.

Fuck. You.

11. Koch and I suspect millions of others have "given up"
on the war ONLY because the US is not prevailing. Americans DO NOT like to lose. It's fine when OTHERS die but oy vey iz mir, when an AMERICAN dies...THEN it's a TRAGEDY.

I've been against this illegal war and occupation from the beginning, but it was only when Americans started dying in large numbers that the tide has turned against it.
