We live in a great country.
Edited on Sat Jul-21-07 03:48 AM by liberaldemocrat7
In our country we have the opportunity to use our money to pay for the copays and deductibles and coverage gaps our horrible private medical insurance does not cover, when we get sick.

Not only that but we have the opportunity to sell our homes when we have ongoing medical costs because of sickness.

I know. A friend of mine had to sell his house after he recovered from cancer but the ongoing costs just made it very hard for him to keep his house. He needed to sell it so he could move into an apartment that he must wait for at least a year. Meanwhile he lives with relatives until the waiting list holders tell him he can rent an apartment.

Do me a favor.

Send this short letter to the Republican party.

Copy and paste the letter below and email it directly to info@gop.com the Republican Party and get many others to send this letter. Thank you. Drop me a message to info@dmocrats.org with the subject Done after you have sent the email.

Hello

Get your Republican party to enact HR 676 Single payer universal health care into law and repeal Medicare Part D and place the
prescription drug benefit in Medicare Part B covering 80 percent of all medication with no extra premiums, no extra deductibles,
no means tests, no coverage gaps, and remove the means test for Medicare Part B and until you do, we will not buy consumer products and prescription drugs from the biggest 3 pharmacy chains and GOP contributors in the country Eckerd, CVS, and Walgreens and we will not buy health insurance from Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna, the 2 biggest health insurance companies that give money to the GOP as well, who cannot afford to lose a large sector of the publics business and money.

Signed,

1. Not only that
but last week I heard some RW flack argue that we have a wonderful system now the way it is, and it was because we have the opportunity to seek a second job to help pay off the staggering medical bills, ...and the son of turd was serious. I think it was on Thom Hartman's show.

2. Yes it appears very weird that these right wing idiots actually believe that.
I merely stated what I did with a lot of sarcasm but these loser right wingers actually believe the lies that their party leaders tell them.

3. There was a "thank you" letter in today's local newspaper from
a family expressing gratitude to all who attended a "dessert auction" to benefit their daughter and her medical expenses battling cancer. They auctioned off cakes to pay for chemo! In this the so-called greatest nation on earth.

4. You do not only lose your health to cancer. You lose your possesions in some cases.
A person can lose more than their health when the person has cancer. They can lose their possessions too.

You see, the Republicans like events like that you just reported. Instead of pooling the risk with every person in the US these Republicans want families to have to pool out their costs to people willing to come to a dessert auction or other type of event. The Republicans want spectacles like this.

How about having a Christians and the Lions cancer drive for someone who has cancer. We can hold it at Yankee stadium. Then we will have the best 100 US Gladiators and Gladiatrixes and 100 Lions and people can make bets on which team will win. The person with cancer takes 10 percent of the take which includes admission and betting at Yankee stadium which seats 50,000 people who pay 25 dollars to see the spectacle. Yes, that will do it and they can hold a cancer night every Saturday night after the baseball game.
