John Kerry Does It:
Breaks the Taboo, and Shoves It Back Down Their Throats

John Kerry has done it. On Olbermann today, he said, "it is about time that those promoting this war offered up their own children to fight it, and anyone who themselves are 40 and under in the Congress and the Administration"......

John Kerry did it better. He shoved it back down their throats so that they would choke on it. He also broke the taboo on calling for those voting and promoting the war volunteering themselves and having their own children go to Iraq.

Now, John Kerry has broken the taboo. Politicians, bloggers, and MSM -- repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat.

1. Jenna will enlist
But only if she can get a $2 million advance for a book about an Iraqi quadruple-amputee infant.

2. Talk is cheap. Do your duty!
I have yet to come across any person who talks openly about supporting this war now. Last time I heard anything was at a demonstration a while back, and the people were driving by really fast so I couldn't catch their age. That last demonstration was interesting--mostly silence from people walking around the courthouse square--no mocking, no saying Bush was the Second Coming. Most folks driving by gave a honk and a thumbs up, even to the impeachment sign.

It would be fun to have enlistment brochures in your back pocket if you were around folks who said they supported the war. You could try and hand them to the blowhards, and if they refused, give them a Yellow Elephant button to wear!

3. Cheney has applied for another deferment just in case they need to raise the intake age to 75+!
Edited on Sat Jul-21-07 07:37 AM by bananarepublican
As Hitler found out in the closing stages of WWII, 75 year olds make excellent fodder units!

12. Yeah, I share your pain
But at least he's still out there fighting hard for our country: it heartens me to see Kerry "unplugged", swinging. This is one strong, classy, and patriotic dude.

13. He is still in there fighting for us, but yeah...if only...
Kerry is presidential material. The creature in the White House is a criminal. No contest. Amazing isn't it what the power of media and big business can make people swallow?

11. I watched the KO/Kerry interview online
here:

http://www.kerryvision.net/2007/07/pin_the_blame_on_the_donkey.html

And it totally rocked.

Like KO said in the scathing 'Special Comment' that preceded this interview,

Let your minions try to spread the blame to the real patriots here, who have sought only to undo the horrors you have wrought since 2002.

Let them try it, until the end of time.

Though the words might be erased from a million books and a billion memories, though the world be covered knee-deep in your lies, the truth shall prevail.

This, sir, is your war.

Sen. Clinton has reinforced enemy propaganda? Made it impossible for you to get your ego-driven, blood-steeped win in Iraq?

Then take it into your own hands, Mr. Bush.

Go to Baghdad now and fulfill, finally, your military service obligations.

Go there and fight, your war. Yourself.

Go there and watch, KO's Comment, yourself:

19. I love Kerry, voted for him, volunteered for him
and contributed more money than I really could afford, but I wish he'd spoken like this during the 2004 campaign. The country was ready for it. It's the media that wasn't (and still isn't) ready. But then it never will be, so its opinion should be irrelevant.

23. Oh he has regularly
DU goes gaga and says "why didn't he speak like this", and then 2 days later everybody forgets - and then 2 weeks later it's Kerry Redux, "why didn't he speak like this". Kerry was calling for troop withdrawal during the campaign, everybody preferred to get in a twiz over right wing talking points instead of drowning them out with what the man was actually saying.

20. Elisabeth Hasselback (The View) loves this war. Why aren't she and her 4th string husband fighting?
Edited on Sat Jul-21-07 01:13 PM by Diane R
And, it's no excuse that she's pregnant. She can leave right after the baby is born....other women have left their babies.

Elisabeth is all for 'fighting them there so we don't have to fight them here'. Only problem is, she and her war loving hubby don't want to fight anywhere.

22. John Kerry made some mistakes during his run for presidency
when there could be no margin for error unfortunately. These evil war mongers in office just sit and watch every little thing the opposition does. They spin, lie, deceive, inflict pain, whatever it takes to smear someone. Its a travesty.........

I applaud John Kerry for continuing the fight instead of just blending into the woodwork. Thank you Mr. Kerry, thank you!!

:applause:

He could have just sat back and said nothing. He's fighting to get us out of Iraq and that should be applauded.
