2 important Iraq issues virtually not covered |
|
The fight over the oil:Bush wants it privatized for his oil buddies and Iraq wants what is theirs. http://www.fpif.org/fpiftxt/4399Saudis are killing our troops:http://www.alternet.org/story/57391--- Both are not covered, or barely covered, by USA mainstream television. Why is this? Does the military/industrial/complex own that much of our media? ---

4. I’ve been asking the same questions |
|
My thinking is speculation and still-in-progress
The oil law is non-controversial in the US and both parties seem united in this.
My understanding of the PNAC agenda is more about control and power of the oil supply both in the ME and in rapidly developing nations as a leverage tool. The profit motive is strong, but not primary.
I think it’s because if the US doesn’t get and maintain this oil law, ALL the influence on Iraq oil supply (and the world) will vanish, poof. Foreign policy people do NOT want this to happen. Bushco has f’d up influence channels throughout the world. US influence will be severely diminished.
2. The media is lazy, and they want neat, easily presentable controversy. Though there’s (relatively) only a small number of foreign fighters (in comparison to the ‘patriots fighting the invaders’), the only information they’re given and therefore, spout, is that they’re all from the ‘enemy’, Iran. It’s too messy to present Bush buddy Bandar (uber-ally) as undermining the war.
That’s my take, anyway.

6. the more this oil robbery drags out.... |
|
...and the more the Democratic Representatives do not talk about it...the more I realize just how corrupted our government has become under these people's guidance...of both Parties.

after the 2004 election. Then when Nancy put Impeachment off the table I knew it had become far worse than I ever dreaded it would be.

11. Both are key issues you have correctly identified as 'not to be reported" by MSM |
