Giuliani: Asked About HIV, He Answers With 9/11
You just can't make this stuff up!

After about 10 minutes of prepared remarks, Giuliani began taking questions. Asked about increasing federal support for HIV medications, Giuliani discussed what he considers appropriate federal responsibility in health care. "I don't want to promise you the federal government will take over the role," he said, drawing applause and shouts of "all right." Then, in some interesting twists, he turned the HIV question into a 9/11 answer:

"My general experience has been that the federal government works best when it helps and assists and encourages and sets guidelines… on a state-by-state, locality-by-locality basis. It's no different from the way I look at homeland security. Maybe having been mayor of the city, I know that your first defense against terrorist attack is that local police station, or that local firehouse."

As a native New Yorker, I'm somewhat relieved that everyone gets to share in the insanity that is this man, I'm tired of having to break down the myths that surround him. Not here of course :)

3. Are people actually asking him about 9/11 however?
About the fact that all he did on that day was walk in front of a camera with hunched shoulders and his tie askew, shouting orders to people off screen who weren't even there. Have they asked Giuliani about the issues raised by the firefighters? I have a feeling that Giuliani is going to try to turn every issue into a 9/11 issue, but can he actually answer a direct 9/11 question?

4. It is interesting
that so many New Yorkers hate Giuliani. My son lives in NYC and works for the City. He was there on 9/11. When I asked him how he felt about Bloomberg running for President he said it was fine with him as long as it took votes away from Giuliani.

There does seem to be some fantasy mythology about Rudy, probably most is related to the pictures of him running around the city on 9/11 with that mask on his face. The image was that of a hands on, in charge kind of guy. Hopefully, more of the reality rather than the image will be revealed.

This guy, for all of his pro-choice, gays are okay rhetoric, hates liberals. All he talks about is 9/11 since that's all he has.

5. 9/11 is the best thing that ever happened to that mafia boy
He will love it always, and more faithfully than he loved his kids or any of his "female companions"
