"Jean Schmidt's War": Summer anti-war campaign focuses on Congressional 'surge' supporters

U.S. Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-Miami Township) is the target of a campaign by Americans Against Escalation in Iraq (AAEI), which is pressuring her to re-evaluate her stance on the war.

The Iraq Summer Campaign is a nationwide effort to target 40 members of Congress who have supported President Bush in sending an additional 20,000 troops to Iraq. Schmidt has been vehemently hawkish since her first campaign for the House of Representatives in 2005.

"The bottom line is that the president continues to have a reckless attitude towards the events in Iraq," says Brian Rothenberg, executive director of Progress Ohio, AAEI's Ohio affiliate. "He has a go-it-alone style, and people like Jean Schmidt blindly rubber-stamp this style. We're building an organization to tell Jean Schmidt what the people think." ...

"I'm just now starting to get involved with the local group here," says volunteer Paul Davis. "My primary organization that I identify myself with is Veterans for Peace."

1. Are there ANY pictures of that woman that don't make her look like a nasty bitch?
Or is she really such a nasty bitch that it is impossible to take a picture that doesn't make her look like a nasty bitch?

2. Just fight her and all she stands for. She won't "re-evaluate her stance."
Jean Schmidt is a hard core Bush worshipper who would be more than happy to open the doors to the camps to the likes of you and me. There are useful ways to spend one's time. Trying to convert Jean Schmidt into a thinking, caring being is not one of them.
