Was this a good week or a disastrous week for us?
I was traveling this week and couldn't do much more than take quick peeks at the Greatest Page and definitely didn't have time to post because I wasn't on my own computer and didn't want to type in my passwords on someone else's computer (do you know some computers keep track of every keystroke!) Anyway, from the moment I read that Valerie Plame's case was tossed-out by a Bush crony judge, I felt that all was lost because the pattern is clear. They're going to use their political strings to undermine justice and protect themselves at our cost. It just seemed to go that way all week as Bush continued to reassert his power over the Congress.

Can anyone tell me if anything happened this week to dispel the impression that anything short of protests and parade marches will fail to bring on impeachment proceedings?

1. Conyers Made a Promise
3 more Congress critters sign up, he will go for impeachment.

Congress has the go ahead to take a lot of people off in cuffs for inherent contempt.

It's been like the world is holding its breath all weak. I personally feel quite dizzy from lack of oxygen.

5. I don't know how we're going to beat them.
It's like facing the community pedophile and not being able to do anything about it because his daddy owns the county.

6. Mine is still in the box.
Should I leave it unopened to enhance the value as a collector's item, and buy another copy tomorrow at K-Mart to read?

12. Only one with my name on it.
What? You thought it was the Harry Potter book I was gambling on to increase in value? Hell no. I'm the one who's going to be rich and famous some day.

Well, one can dream.

3. Hillary kicked some butt
and made Gates back down proving she's quite capable of pushing back. Definitely good news.

Osama was not found hiding in Bush's butt. Sort of a wash, I guess.

Cheney didn't start WWIII during his 3 hours as President. That's good news.

Impeachment? Probably not, but it looks more and more like when BushCo leaves DC he will be taking a whole lot of Repugs with him. Maybe they can have a big sleepover in Crawford and cry in their beer. Definitely good news.

8. Why did Bush hand over the oval office to Cheney for three hours?
Did Cheney need it for some sexual fantasy role playing or something? I mean, what do you give a man who has everything, exactly?

9. Yes, that I did pick up on.
But CNN did try to make his all nighter seem like it failed due to the "unslept cot caper." I think things got heated after that, but that's when I fell off the face of the earth and lost track of the news altogether.
