Is anyone watching the abortion issue on NOW on PBS?
Apparently the RW has changed their talking points against abortion from killing babies to hurting women! They now claim that women who have abortions suffer from depression, resort to drug use, suicide, etc. Two guys, Parker and Reardon have subbmitted briefs to the SCOTUS accompanied by 30,000 notorized affidavits from women who claim this is TRUE! Apparently several of the justices have been already convinced!

1. That's not new
They've had that "it hurts woman" lingo since at least Bush I.

The only thing that hurts a woman in need of an abortion is the mentailty that she can't have one!

2. How nice of the men to try to save us from ourselves
we certainly aren't able to make choices like this for ourselves. We need them sooooo much to help us due to our simple minds and inability to know our own feelings.

3. Not watching, but
I have never experienced a moment of depression, used any drugs (recreational or otherwise) or felt suicidal. Maybe there is a delayed reaction but its been almost 40 years.

Guess I should send someone a letter.

4. If NOW" has any credibility, I think a lot of women like you should do just that!
It was the two guys I mentioned and the letters from the 30,000 women that convinced Justice Kennedy to vote with Scalia, Alito & Thomas in the most abortion case.
