Health Care for poor children is against Bush's principles.
Busholini says he will veto a Bill to extend Health Care to poor children. Now the public can see what an Asshole he actually is.

1. Poor Children Don't Vote, and Likely Their Parents Vote for Bush
and as for the rest of the population, altruism is at an all-time low in this country.

2. if only the public cared
enough to become outraged by this.

The veto won't end only "poor" children's health care-

It will hit those who make more and pay into the system based on their income.

This is going to impact many kids, but i don't have much hope that there will be much impact on the emperor.

3. Daily Howler has covered some of this
Mentions that Bush was against SCHIP even as Governor of Texas. Such a 'compassionate' conservative he is. Funding for the last five years was 25 billion. Bush says he will veto anything over the 30 billion he proposed. CBO report says that because of increased health care costs it will take 39 billion to fund this program at the same level. So Bush, basically says he will veto anything except a cut. Bush is also still pushing the idea of taxing our health insurance that our employer provides. So the Bush answer to health care problems - increase taxes on working people.

CBPP mentions also that Bush has signed many bills that spent more money than he requested - when Republicans were spending the money. Now that Congress is controlled by Democrats, suddenly Bush is a 'principled deficit hawk.'
