Oh, dear! Polyps were cancerous.
Just heard on the news that the polyps were benign, so given the track record of the news, * should be dead within months.

1. Malignant = cancerous
Benign = non-cancerous.

"not worrisome"; the phrase used. Who knew? Guess I was "channeling" Mr. Waugh and didn't even know it. :D

link to the "evidence" lest someone here (not you, moggie) ask me to prove it.

:evilgrin:

edit to add: though my word choice was much less impressive than his. Edited to correct mistaken gender of Mr. Evelyn Waugh.

13. Evelyn was a man.
Many mens' names have turned into womens' names in the last century or more. At least in England.

Evelyn being one of them.

Also Joyce, Connie, Shirley, Beverley and Vivian. One of Oscar Wilde's sons was named Vyvyan.

Dana is still used for both boys and girls.

And in Texas, any boys' name can be given an "ie" instead of a "y" on the end and turned into a girls' name: Billie, Jimmie, Bobbie, Nikki, Rickie, Ronnie.

For some reason, Frankie has been a girls' name for a long time -- cf: "Frankie and Johnny were lovers".

19. Vivian Harris,
born in Georgetown, Guyana, and now living in the Bronx, is one of the toughest welterweight boxers in the last decade. My dad had friends named Connie (a farmer) and Beverly (a railroad worker). My younger son used to think these guys were tough for the "A Boy Named Sue" type of reason. But as you say, these used to be men's names.

factors, the polyps were not only occupying neighboring organs, but they were having the oncologists phones tapped.
