Why are Dem Politicians always 'required' to
work for minimum wage, walk to the debate, send their kids to public schools? WTF is this...a double standard? (Yeah, no shit, Sherlock)

I'd like to see someone ask Mitt why he doesn't donate 200 million dollars to the American Cancer Society, or ask Giuliani why de doesn't donate 50 million dollars to the 9/11 funds, or ride a bike to work, or ask MCain why he's still receiving his military pension. Or ask Huckabee to dig ditches in flood zones.

I'm sick of this crap...

1. It's understandable
Republicans don't run on behalf of the "little guy", and people DO get a certain titillation out of uncovering hypocrisy.

I don't mind at all that Dems are asked if they live the values they espouse.

2. So it's OK to have
Rethugs be able to unquestioningly take advantage of the environment, of the people, and of the ordinary individual. They should never be questioned on any of these issues since Rethugs are assumed to be crooks, liars, and exploitative.

I think that it's the individual's decision for his or her own family member as to whether they should go to public schools or drive a hybrid. This is ridiculous that the question of whether the candidate uses energy-saving bulbs in the house or as the argument went in DU, posters were upset that Edwards (I believe) was phasing bulbs in as they were burning out. Some here were outraged that the entirety of the bulbs were not replaced in toto immediately, if not sooner.

I am more interested in what these people do in office, not what they 'espouse' by example in their very public, private lives.

5. And they'll get asked
about their divorces and 'family values' positions.

3. Because The Repiglickin Media Needs to Destroy Edwards
Edited on Mon Jul-23-07 08:04 PM by AndyTiedye
They already know how to take down Hillary Clinton (they had a 15 YEAR head start)
and they can stir up the old racism to take down Obama (and call him "Osama" as often as possible for bad measure),
but they had to come up with something to shut down Edwards. Looks like they found it.

Of course, Repiglickins are above criticism for the same things.
