CONCORD, N.C. -- A Cabarrus County commissioner facing prostitution related charges will not attend Monday night's County Board meeting, according to a news release. Coy Privette and Tiffany Summers were arrested Thursday. Investigators said Privette paid for sex with Summers six times in the last two months.
Privette's attorney sent the Cabarrus County Commision a statement Monday afternoon saying that his attendance may distract from the important issues the board had to discuss. Privette, a former state legislator, has resigned as president of the Christian Action League, the group said.
Privette was suspended Thursday as president of the league until the court case is resolved.
He resigned on Saturday, said the Rev. Mark Creech, the league's executive director. "Because of the nature of the allegations, I believe it is in the best interest for me to resign
so that the charges will not distract from the important work of the Christian Action League," Privette said in an e-mail sent to the league.

Hmmm... you know, I have a theory, if we just arrested all the preachers and "religious action group" people, we could probably reduce the sexual assault crime rate by 20% maybe 25% or more. Think about it.....
