One candidate is ready to lead.
Here's the to-do list from the John Edwards site. He proved tonight that he's the best hope.

1. Any one of them
would be an improvement on what we have now. I wouldn't limit that to Edwards.

3. what I liked about almost all of his answers
was that he seemed to rise above the question and answer the overiding issue-to me he seemed to always be above the fray-anybody else sense that tonight?

4. Absolutely. And I like how he answers directly.
He will often say "Yes" and here's why...

Several of the other candidates dance around the answer, almost to the point of making you forget what the question was. Obama has a serious problem with that.

8. i think he did well, and I like him a lot, but...
(parts reposted from my thoughts on another thread, http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x3396213)

Edwards was good, but I think he might have lost some support on his struggle to answer the gay marriage question (otherwise he seems to the left of the other 2, and I think that's his main appeal? it certainly is with me)

Not asked, but I'm giving my $0.02 anyway :p Richardson was solid, very vice presidential, which I think he is hoping for at this point with his extensive intl experience. Biden, well, maybe I just don't like him personally... he seemed to be going for the right of center crowd, eh. The other 3 might as well have been random questioners as they barely got any air time... I suppose the M$S has already chosen for us. I liked Kucinich pushing to get air-time for DO SOMETHING NOW!, which is perhaps all he can hope for at this point. Gravel kept it light... is that his goal now? Dodd was good, but not much time... I think he could be selected for another cabinet position as long as he doesn't point too many fingers early on, and now he has more name recognition.

9. John needs our support
I must agree that John Edwards is by far the best choice. If you log into his website and get to know how he feels about things there is no way you can choose another. He has the passion, conviction, dedication and determination that we need. We need a strong leader, one who is not afraid to proclaim what he believes in and not afraid to fight for what he thinks is right. He is an excellent speaker and his values are what we need to take this country down the path to One America. One America that we can all be proud of! I am all for Mr. Edwards!!
