Weighing in on YOUTUBE debates, fantastic! |
|
Americans asked what the commentators never would, it was entertaining, made these candidates seem more human, and this has been the best debate I've seen; I hope it continues. And thanks to the youtubers and even CNN for asking the important questions; my big regret is they missed the impeachment question; maybe, by September, they will ask the rethugs that!

1. I don't give it very high marks, they ignored the very best videos that had the most votes. |
|
There was an impeachment question that was sent in by a DUer that got more votes than any other video by a huge margin and CNN did not play it. The questions may have been sent in by ordinary people, but they were chosen by CNN. The thing had the same level of corporate control as any other debate, it was no where near the democratic revolution in political debates that CNN pretended.

5. I thought the questions were well-done, though I've also griped about the |
|
lack of the impeachment question.
But do you think the Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton would have ever been asked by Cooper? There were lots of questions that wouldn't have been asked; in that respect, I thought it was better than the boring crap we've been subjected to.

7. Why am I not surprised that they didn't include the video asking about Impeachment? |

So MSM not only controlled the questions asked, Anderson wilfully ignored for the most part, the "bottom tier" of candidates. Pardon my language but that sucked.

It wasn't perfect, but much better than the stale format where 'pundits' ask canned questions expecting canned answers.
The remaining problem is, canned TV producers selected the questions. Two out of three isn't bad.

10. I loved that format! It was wonderful that regular people got to ask the questions. |
|
I just wish we had fewer candidates. 1 minute to answer a question just isn't long enough. I thought this debate was fantastic, but was ticked off they didn't ask Debbie's question.:grr: Not surprised though. So far, Tavis Smiley's debate on PBS and the YouTube are my favorites.
