Once again, I am at the point where I'd support SATAN if he'd impeach Bush. |
|
I no longer care WHO is Speaker of the House, WHO is the Majority Leader of the Senate, or any other bullshit elected office.
I hereby make an offer: If SATAN HIMSELF will appear on the floor of the house in the guise of ANY MEMBER who will get this ball rolling, I will support him 100%.
The Iraq abomination will continue whether or not Impeachment starts. The AG travesty will stumble along whether or not Impeachment starts. The troops won't be home before 90 whether or not Impeachment starts.
JUST COME UP FROM HELL AND START THE DAMNED THING.
Shit, who cares anyway? In My Not So Humble and Frequently Reviled Around Here Opinion, it's already too late to keep things anywhere near the way they are as far as this version of representative government. The wealth of the rich is up 40% over the same period where the middle class got 7%: that is since the 70's. The power is obviously for sale and up for bidding. The candidates are a joke on both sides.
I had hoped I would not see the disintegration in my own lifetime, so maybe I'll just make absolutely certain that if the barricades go up, I'm right at the first one so it's over with quickly.
You must excuse me. Watching the Gonzales hearing put me over the edge for the time being.

1. I think Satan would quite like Bush to be impeached... |
|
because then he would become president.

3. No, Satan was a creature of a sort of integrity, according to Dante anyway... |
|
The presidency of Amerika is no place for a being of integrity anymore.
You know what? I'm GLAD Gore won't do it. Shows his moral fiber in my book.

But are they US citizens? Is Satan? Gotta follow some semblance of the Constitution, anyway.

15. besides satan isn't the real villain. |
|
it isn't like he claimed to commit mass murder on the scale of drowning the entire planet with the exception of one family or plans to torture everybody but his bootlickers in a lake of fire for all eternity.

Satan is LAWFUL EVIL in alignment. Even he has to obey rules.
Bush is Cthulu: CHAOTIC EVIL. No rules.

11. I share your frustration... |
|
...and wish I could offer some answers. When it starts pushing me over the edge I try to refocus on the small things left in life that are still within my control. I don't know what else to do.

My car blew its new alternator, my house flooded from a broken pipe on the SECOND FLOOR, my back is KILLING me and I haven't slept 4 hours in two nights.
I'd be GRATEFUL if JUST ONE SENATOR would stand up and call Gonzo a LIAR to his face.
OH YEAH, forgot: and PAYPAL won't let me start up my montly DU thing again: THEY want me to issue e-checks, so the site won't bypass and let the Credit Card function work.

18. Yes, some of the small things in life... |
|
...are still under my control.
Sounds like you're having one of those 'everything going wrong at the same time' months. I've had those kind of months before and they are very trying.
I probably shouldn't try to give advice, and this may already be obvious to you, but if the back pain is severe enough that you can't even get a decent nights sleep you should treat that as your priority one problem. Nobody functions well on too little sleep -- can't think straight -- can't manage problems effectively that you otherwise could.
Hope things turn for the better for you soon.

From "A Man for All Seasons":
William Roper: So, now you give the Devil the benefit of law!
Sir Thomas More: Yes! What would you do? Cut a great road through the law to get after the Devil?
William Roper: Yes, I'd cut down every law in England to do that!
Sir Thomas More: Oh? And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned 'round on you, where would you hide, Roper, the laws all being flat? This country is planted thick with laws, from coast to coast, Man's laws, not God's! And if you cut them down, and you're just the man to do it, do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I'd give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety's sake!
I've always liked that quote.
