Gonzales: "There Are NO Rules" (and so we finally get an honest answer re: The Bush Admin)
Edited on Tue Jul-24-07 01:18 PM by kpete
Gonzales: But General -- there are no rules governing whether or not General Ashcroft can decide, I'm feeling well enough to make this decision.

Specter: But, Attorney General Gonzales, he had already given up his authority as attorney general ... was no longer attorney general.

Gonzales: And he could always reclaim that. There are no rules...

Specter: While he's in the hospital under sedation?

Gonzales: Again, we didn't know -- we knew, of course, that he was ill, that he'd had surgery...

1. And gonzo
is bush's choice to be the top law enforcement officer in the country. That legacy wing of the bush lie-brary is going to be mighty big.

2. It's a sad day for America when we can look back at Ashcroft
As a person who has more integrity in his little finger than Gonzales has in his whole body...

And, more competent, by far.

I had always considered Ashcroft to be a looney radical, too.

Still do, but he's RFK compared to Gonzo.
