We are sorely lacking in statesmen in DC |
|
We have plenty of politicians but very very few statesmen. Statesmen would have no trouble putting the Constitution before their political career and THAT is our problem in a nutshell.

1. Agreed. Politicians are all well and good, but statesmen keep this country alive. |

Without enough statesmen, their voices of reason and compassion for the lifeblood of country are being drowned out by the overpowering "DUHHH" sound that seems to be coming from so many mouths in Congress.
On edit: Politicians are actually NOT all well and good.

2. Check out today's Senate Judiciary hearing. It was set squarely on Constitutional limits, |
|
international standards and the role of the Executive.

8. I worry that we take a lot for granted |
|
Even if we get 9, are they going to all support policies that are the foundation of our beliefs? Or are they going to be 9 more Liebermans?:scared:
