Just so you don't harass someone who already supports it and you can go after other members.

1. Go after mine: Earl Blumenauer |
|
Earl has been good on progressive issues, but never sticks his neck out there.
Since I've been calling about impeachment, he staff members takes down names & addresses. Makes me wonder if he isn't checking against his donors list.

4. Sam Farr, who you will see on that list... |
|
said he isn't confident that impeachment of Cheney would succeed, but he added his name because his constituents asked for it. Now this is a liberal bastion, and I'm not surprised, but I am also glad that he pointed out that he's doing what the people who elected him want.
Keep pushing.

5. I have sent my praises to Rep. Jim McDermott on this. |
|
Representative McDermott's tale: He went to Iraq during the run-up to the war to see what was up. For his troubles he got labeled BAGHDAD JIM and treated as an unpatriotic traitor by many Americans. He gave a speech about his findings when he got back, it aired on C-SPAN. He told us that the weapons inspectors needed to continue their good work. He told us about the hospitals which had URGENT needs for medicines. He told us about the babies born deformed due to their parents being exposed to Depleted Uranium. When he finished his speech he shook his finger at us and said, "Make no mistake about it, this is NOT about WMD, it is about OIL and REGIME CHANGE!" Prophetic huh? I made my step-kids watch a repeat broadcast of that speech. I remind my step kids of that speech when I catch them repeating repuke talking points...shuts them right down! Representative Jim McDermott has been my hero for a long time now. I am VERY proud of this American. :patriot:
