Huge explosion in Dallas. Closes major Interstates.
Edited on Wed Jul-25-07 10:14 AM by Texas Explorer
Looks like acetyline gas supplier. Chunks of debris all over area. Live coverage on MSNBC. Hundreds more bottles in vicinity of fire. Building demolished.

14. All ready done, CNN asked that stupid question
of a silly woman who couldn't pronounce "acetylene" to save herself. Good thing they didn't ask her to spell it, eh? At least she had the good sense to pooh-pooh the terra idea.

One shot showed tanks with jets of flame coming out of the top, exactly what you'd expect to see when cylinder tops crack in the presence of fire.

They'll have to wait until the gas mostly burns off before they can safely enter the area.

At least they've got something real to deflect them from covering the contempt hearings. They didn't have to do rich blondes in rehab.

Do you think before you post? Seriously, there are two men injured from this, but a lot of people could have been killed.

22. Quick! No time to lose...
faster than you can say "terra - terra - terra," it's time for The Commander Guy to protect us by invoking those national security and vaterland security presidential directives he was so proud of when he rolled them out a couple of months ago:

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/05/20070509-12.html

And here's an analysis of what they actually mean:

http://onlinejournal.com/artman/publish/article_2143.shtml

And here's three of their most odious provisions:

“(b) "Catastrophic Emergency" means any incident, regardless of location, that results in extraordinary levels of mass casualties, damage, or disruption severely affecting the U.S. population, infrastructure, environment, economy, or government functions;“ (MY NOTE: which means Katrina, a Calif. quake, a flood in the Midwest, a massive power outage, AN EXPLOSION IN DALLAS, etc. could all trigger the marvelous plans that comprise most of the rest of the directive.)

“(18) The Secretary of Defense, in coordination with the Secretary of Homeland Security, shall provide secure, integrated, Continuity of Government communications to the President, the Vice President, and, at a minimum, Category I executive departments and agencies.” (MY NOTE: This would be making sure the usual shadow government entities have uninterrupted access to Il Duce and his puppet masters in the secure white house bunker.)

“(6) The President shall lead the activities of the Federal Government for ensuring constitutional government.” (MY NOTE: You may have noticed BushCo’s ongoing respect for Constitutional law, and may assume that such respect will continue after the dictatorship is in place.)
