AP Breaks HUGE Story on Edwards .... NOT(but of course you knew that) LINK
Edwards Returns Donations From Lobbyists
By MIKE BAKER, Associated Press Writer

http://rawstory.com/showarticle.php?src=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sfgate.com%2Fcgi-bin%2Farticle.cgi%3Ff%3D%2Fn%2Fa%2F2007%2F07%2F24%2Fpolitics%2Fp143745D42.DTL%26type%3Dpolitics

"But Robert Giroux, a lobbyist for the Service Employees International Union, contributed $1,500 to Edwards' campaign in May, according to federal campaign finance and lobbying records. THE RECORDS INDICATE THE DONATION CAME IN MID-MAY, A FEW WEEKS AFTER GIROUX REGISTERED AS A LOBBYIST.(Capitalization Added).

Randall Kelly, a veteran lobbyist who has represented The Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition, also gave Edwards a total of $1,500 over the past three months. Kelly has also contributed $500 to the campaign of Connecticut Sen. Chris Dodd, who has decided to accept such money.

Frank Lloyd, who is registered to lobby on behalf of Cablevision Systems Corp., donated $400 in June.

Murray said Kelly's donation was returned last week. The donations from Giroux and Lloyd were refunded Tuesday.

Clinton is accepting money from lobbyists."
**********

So there you have it. AP decides to run a story breaking the fact that since 1998 Edwards has accepted lobbyists contributions totalling $3,400 WHICH WERE RETURNED BEFORE OR ON THE SAME DAY THE STORY WAS BROKEN.

And just for good measure, the AP threw in the added fact that "Clinton is accepting money from lobbyists."

So far, no such story has been run on Republican candidates.

2. It's OK when Republicans do it
all of their lobbying groups are completely pure & innocent and would never expect any quid-pro-quo.

:sarcasm:

5. OF course the way Edwards has become invisible to the MSM I guess any publicity is a plus...
...even if they try to smear him.

Greg Sargent has a good article on the fact that the MSM no longer sees Edwards, even when he gives the most thoughtful answer to the same question posed to the frontrunners.
