Former DUer bashes DU on BartCop.
Edited on Wed Jul-25-07 02:14 PM by DemoTex
Subject: banned from Demo Underground

I was a member of Democratic Underground and was banned because I was pro-Hillary.

The far left tools on there bash Hillary to no end and would rather not vote or vote third party
than support her and win. I hope that these clowns are just a fringe group and that the polls are
correct and most democrats aren't this foolish. Hillary is clearly the best choice, she is smart,
polished, has been outstanding in the debates and instills confidence.

I like Obama but I think he is green, he seems to be reaching for every answer.
Hillary has the posse, too, all the people from Bill's administration and I'm sure many
close advisors that she has been gathering for years. Who is in Obamas posse?

I have a feeling that Obama will scare all the "security moms" because he doesn't come across
as being confident and deliberate. I think Hillary seems tough and women will support her.
John K

Bart's response:
John, there are a LOT of Democrats who'd rather lose than let Hillary win.
Democrats hold the key to the next election.

Will they decide to give the Republicans four more years?

NOBODY would be banned for being "pro-Hillary." People would be banned for being sociopathic about it, though.

I'm often amazed that 'some' supporters just can't stand up to legitimate criticisms - and other's can't seem to avoid name-calling and demeaning personal attacks.

Of particular note (to me) are those who can't seem to hadle the facts - such as the fact that the candidate they support voted to enable Smirk's global aggression with a vote for the IWR.

Appeasement is NOT a strategy - except for political cowards and fools.

anyone else criticized the DLC Dems.

Bart is just being realistic about the Dems needing to field candidates that can win the popular vote by a wide margin.

64. "pink tutu" dems isn't a reference to the dlc...
the dlc are corporatists, and hillary is their go-to girl.

instead of letting the corporate media choose our candidates, we have to get better at getting our message out to voters, and making them realize that the things they really want in their government and their society are actually liberal ideas.

i think that moving the party to the right is definitely the wrong approach. it's definitely easier than moving the electorate to the left- but what's the point of winning, if you have to sacrifice your ideals to do so?

I am completely confused as to how this goes with his obnoxious "pink tutu" Democrats not standing up to Bush. Kerry likely had stood up to Bush more by the end of January than Hillary did in the entire year - and she was better than Bill.

61. This is a problem with many partisan Democrats.
In many cases there is not much difference between them and Reagan worshiping Republicans. They worship everything Clinton, as many Republicans worship everything Reagan. During any Republican debate you have ten guys on stage trying to sound like Ronnie. Having read Bartcop and his disdain for "pink-tutu" Democrats it appears he, and most Dems have a rather large blind spot when it comes to the Clintons. I feel sorry for anyone who thinks Clinton was the best President in this nation's history. I feel anger and disgust toward anybody who lacks basic historical memory and/or knowledge. I don't claim to know all the answers, however I believe this party needs to get over Clinton. Democrats at all levels come and go, the party will always go forward after they have left office. What we, the base of the party need to do is move on, quit looking for another Bill Clinton! I'm sorry, with the problems the country faces in 2007, the last thing we need is another Bill Clinton!

I have noticed Hillary supporters never want to debate issues. They think Hillary should get the nod for some of the most shallow reasons you could imagine. "If Hillary gets elected we will have the Clintons back in the White House!!!!! Wouldn't that be super neato!!!!!! Or, "I hope Hillary wins because when I was in fourth grade little Jimmy McGee told me a woman would never be president. 30 years later I hope to finally stick it to him!"

It's not time for a woman president, or a black president, or a southern president, or a green president. It's time for a President who recognizes the problems this country faces. The struggle certain Americans must still overcome, the plight of the poor, working, and middle classes, the danger of blind militarism/nationalism, and how important it is to NEVER allow the country to be taken down the same disastrous roads again. I want never again to MEAN never again.

Sorry about the form of this reply, typed it quickly at work.

I got ticked a couple of years ago, then realized I could hold my own here against any and all comers, and might even learn something from those with which I disagree. Besides, DUers are clever as hell. The rapier, not the broadsword.

This is unlike the FReepers, who not only post endlessly against evolution, they demonstrate the truth of their arguments - they have clearly never evolved from pond scum.

impaling terrorists.

I mean, that seems very off to me. I think most Dems understand what is at stake. I will vote for whoever the Dem candidate is, because at that point it doesn't matter. To even allow the possibility of a Republican in the White House in 2008 is inconceivable to me.

I would be very surprised to learn that a lot of Dems would rather have a Republican in the White House in 2008 over Hillary Clinton.

from DU "for supporting Hillary," and Bart would buy it because he is so in love with Hillary.

Bart rants about "pink tutu" Dems but never puts Hillary in a pink tutu when in fact she has been an enabler and a wuss many times.

Hillary's negatives are high, too, so having a "posse" may not help her. (and why the hell does this guy say she has a "posse"? He can't spell "entourage" or what?)
