If you peeked behind the curtain you would see many 'insiders' feeding Congressional Committees...
The four page memo that the AP obtained did not fall off a potato truck. It was intentionally leaked by someone on the 'inside' who saw the need to bring Gonzo down.

Each of the Investigative Committees looking into the US Attorney firings and other wrongdoings are receiving massive amounts of information from career employees and 'insiders.'

The supposed 'calm' appearance at the WHite House is a cover. Behind the scenes they are in a crisis mode, trying to discover who knows what, who has told what, and what will the next few days bring.

We are witnesses to a Bush Administration implosion, and when it spills out into public view people will be amazed at the patriots who stepped up and made it happen.

2. Listen carefully to Leahy, Schumer,Whitehouse, Feingold, etc. and you will find....
... they are asking questions that they already know the answers to.

So what does that mean?

It means they are gathering evidence to prove what they already know from sources which so far have remained under wraps.

6. Yes.
And that's the way to proceed. Let them hang themselves. Puts them in the situation where the answer is going to be bad for them no matter which way they try and take it.

...seldom asks a question he doesn't already know the answer to...something like that...

10. That is true of any trial attorney ... you want to know everything before you begin questioning...
... that is why many cases take months to come to trial so that both sides can learn through discovery what everyone would testify to if called as a witness at trial.

19. Are you insinuating...
Edited on Thu Jul-26-07 08:37 AM by DCKit
That there may be some in the WH who believe in the constitution? That they may have (finally) grown a spine and retrieved their conscience?

Whoever's heading up HR for the administration is in deep doo-doo.

3. Because there are a large number of people working in the administration
the chances are good that there is a human being with a conscience among them. Eventually the dam will break and people will do the right thing to bring these criminals to justice.

seem less calculated (as in terms of long-term calculating and planning) and some faith-based "hail mary" passes.

8. Beware the common-taters who claim that a Constitutional Crisis
"is on the horizon", or "coming", or "being pushed by the Democrats".

The fact is, we are now currently in the midst of the biggest Constitutional Crisis imaginable. And we have been for a few years now.

15. And it's coming from the WH. John Dean has said this for some time now.
It's as if W, Dick, and co. are maneuvering this all to end up in their hand-picked SCOTUS.

Thanks BHJ.

The implosion definitely has begun! Schumer's relentless questioning of Gonzo showed that we've turned that corner.

Questioning, documenting, proving. We are in a mode of beginning to document their many, many crimes.

Fasten seat belts.

17. There are so few "insiders" around who are not members of the club
Arrogant GOP workers fill almost every single staffer position.

There may be a lot of suspicion and game playing going on, but that is the standard mode of operation for a totalitarian government.

And remember all these guys believe GOD is talking to them and is on their side.

EXACTLY what they were asking and exactly what G's answers SHOULD be if G was telling the truth.

20. I have done cross-examinations where I suspected the witness would lie...
and in most cases I had the evidence in my possession before the questioning started. You use the advantage that the witness does not know the extent of your knowledge before answering your questions. In most cases, the witness will either withhold information you can prove he has or he will give up information you do not have because the thinks you already know. This is a very powerful tool in getting to the truth, and getting the evidence you need to prove the truth. This had all the same hallmarks.

The SJC members divided up the subject matters, knew exactly what the truth was before the questioning began, and gave Gonzo plenty of latitude to hang himself --and he did.

The fact that Gonzo came to the Hill for the third time to testify under oath before this Congressional Committee in regard to many of the same subjects should have been a warning to Gonzo that he was about to be had.

The most telling moments yesterday were the comments by Leahy and Specter that they did not trust Gonzo, and warning him to review his transcript very carefully.

You can then run with it 'cause they can't be sure what you know once they start sweating!

23. You need to understand that all these former prosecutors on the SJC know the score...
Leahy, Schumer, and even Specter, have the experience to know how to get to the truth AND get the evidence needed to prove their cases.

I have been particularly impressed with Whitehouse. He is a heck of an interrogator, smarter than most Senators, and putting him up against Gonzo is no contest. Whitehouse has made his mark already, in many ways the same as John Edwards did when he entered the Senate and was selected to defend Clinton in the trial before the Senate on Impeachment.

all the things they're suppose to keep covered up! IT'S IMPOSSIBLE. You always get caught, sooner or later, when you lie!:bounce:
