5. I doubt he'll literally ignore them |
|
Not his or his boss's style; they want people to know they are sticking their tongue out at Congress; he'll make it clear that he's not coming. Bryant check it out --> http://politicalcomment.blogspot.com

And it will go to court. And they will lose.

Its all about legal precedent. I don't want to bring up Bill in this at all, but he did try to invoke executive priviledge for some of his staff, including I think his legal counsel, regarding Monica. It went to court and Clinton lost and his staff had to testify. I think the ruling was that executive priviledge didn't apply when they were the subject of the investigation. I'm not sure what exactly it was, hopefully somebody else can fill us in. IMHO, this whole thing is to force the executive priviledge issue.

and disregard precedent, I'm not so sure. Justice Kenedy will be the decider with the weight of the world on his shoulders.

14. Set Up For Inherent Contempt |
|
This could make Joe Wilson's dream of seeing Rove frog-marched out of the White House a possibility.
It looks like the Senate Judiciary is forcing a showdown just like Conyers is in the House. They've got Gonzo on perjury and probably ubstruction and now we're gonna find out if boooshie's DOJ will prosecute or recuse itself from enforcing these subpoenas. If not, then the stage is set for Inherent Contempt proceedings...it could even dovetail into Conyers work...and we could see a House/Senate Inquiry just like we did in Watergate. Also, by calling for an Special Prosecutor (glad they took Arlen up on his bluff), this forces booshie to get involved...either by naming one or ignoring the request and this is added to this list.
Sometimes silence speaks louder than words. The image of the empty chair with Harriet Meiers name showed how this regime is running and hiding...and it'd be a far bigger scene if that empty chair had Rove's name and started all the telepundits in the beltway into a frenzy.
The immediate need is to blast away this sham "Executive Privilidge" claim this regime has taken to cover your mailman...and compelling Rove to testify will take this thing into court as well and it could be very embarassing for Turd Blossom. Consider this one last chit thrown at Fielding...let's see if he counters.

17. Harriet Miers ignored subpeona, Sept. house vote, the same |
|
will happen to Rove, the only thing I strongly believe is that Bush cannot allow any documents to be made public which is quite obvious so it's like what happens? Nuke Iran? smart bomb Iran? another US. attack? The house of cards will fall if Bush secrets are made public to the world. what say you guys??
