1. Why should he?
Bush is supposed to be a role model for law and order. BushCo ignores subpoenas so Michael should to. If he stalls things out long enough the next Democratic President can pardon him :-)

5. It would be
be funny if he declares "Executive Privilege" and ignores it. Sadly we know how that would turn out, goon squad coming to arrest MM and him getting a stay in the Crossbar Hotel. Then the next Dem President could commute his sentence and then pardon him. Would the Reich wing heads explode over that???

4. Why is it criminal to help the sick? Jay Leno mentioned that
movie stars go to Cuba all the time for reasons other than helping the sick. I just don't get this.

8. And Moore even said on CNN with Blitzer,
when asked about going to Cuba, "I don't think even this administration would do something as crass as go after 9.11 rescue workers for getting medical treatment."

'Course he was probably just saying that, I'm sure he wouldn't be surprised.

9. Just don't show up. Call it "Citizen's Privilege."
Or "People Who Hate The Executive Privilege." Just don't go. The take it to the Supreme Court.

14. I wish I weren't so negative, but.....
they'll ignore this the best they can, just as they've done with the MYRIAD other stories that redound to adverse effect on the junta.

correct me if I'm wrong, but what makes you think this will get any more coverage than the Gonzales scandal has so far?

can you IMAGINE what this would have been like under Clinton? remember how they LOVED to go after Reno for basically nothing?

17. How can this NOT appear hourly on both CNN and MSNBC?
More Britney? More Lindsey?

There's a lot of time to fill.

15. Well howdy...so how long
till I stop being welcomed here? Seems it happens on every thread I am on. Not that I do not welcome it, but.....

It just seems this is really really stupid. M Moore is a media whore. Now he will get a free go round on all the talk shows again. Without Sicko to promote, he will really be able to speak out about this and the tyranny of the Bush crime family.

Just seems like a bad PR move for them and they usually don't do that.

19. A subpoena from the executive branch?
Do they have the power to do this? And, will there be a public record of the meeting? Or do they get to subpoena any American to beat them up in the backroom, if they so please?
