I wonder what motivates the current field of presidential contenders. The wheels are clearly coming off of the party. Assuming the current regime won't declare martial law and make the elections irrelevant, things aren't looking good. Is it just a power trip, or are they really thinking that they are relevant? Perhaps they are sacrificial lambs trying to up their street cred until the next election. If I was a repuke I would be laying low and counting my money at this point. I suspect that they know something we don't, or are so caught up in the whirlpool of power that they are blind to reality.

because they are going to inherit a hell of mess- a "fixer-upper" if you will. They will undoubtedly paint over the mold and call it good.
