Media droned on and on about "Clinton Fatigue" -- why no reporting of "Bush Fatigue"?
Of course "Clinton Fatigue" was in my humble opinion, a media creation -- just report on it every day until it becomes a reality.

But as I look around, "Bush Fatigue" is as real and undeniable as death and taxes.

Yet no media figure as far as I can tell has uttered this phrase.

4. We do come in for tougher treatment but there is an obvious difference
The SAME Clintons are going to be back in the White House, potentially. Say what you want about the Bush's, but the Old Man has kept a pretty low profile these past 8 years, plus his son was an unknown during his own presidency.

6. Because there is a difference between being tired and outraged
Edited on Fri Jul-27-07 10:00 AM by Perky
With Clinton people just rolled their eyes but understtod that it was inconsequential to the functioning of government. With Bush people grit their teeth and bang their head against the wall because they instictively know that what the idiot is doing does have consequence.

7. MSNBC
Remember when MSNBC had the continuing saga, "The Whitehouse in Crisis?"

Funny, seems like that would be just as appropriate now!

13. As glad as I am to see Olbermann using it, it sucks that he's the only one.
When Clinton was president, it was shoved down our throats constantly, from every channel. Now it's limited to one hour a day (two if you count his repeat), M-F, on one channel. I'm so glad we have a liberal media...:eyes:.

8. More like Clinton critic fatigue
It was more like Clinton critic fatigue. I got tired of the Republicans blaming Clinton for everything and anything under the sun.

10. Sorta like reporting water is wet.
Not to let the media off the hook, but reporting that the country is fed up with the Boob is hardly "news".

12. It wasn't news when they did it to Clinton either because it wasn't true then
But the media didn't let it stop them then.

14. Oh, but it was "news" then because it was about sex.
Which is guaranteed to sell a lot of beer and toothpaste.

All of the "journalists" saying that "America is tired of hearing about oral sex in the oval office, suspicious stains (wink, wink) on the infamous blue dress and (nudge, nudge) the use of cigars." is a helluva lot more entertaining than saying , "President Bush's popularity continues to sink."

The media is in it for the money and will put on whatever sells.

25. Its not as I like
I wish I had a nickel for every time I have heard some media hack mention that the FBI found cash in some obscure Louisiana congressman's freezer after that happened. The media followed the guy around for months. I seen it with my own two eyes.

Vitter didn't get any of that type of scrutiny.

Its not my imagination.

Its politics.

I can almost hear Tweety already..."What about this Clinton fatigue everyone's talking about. Isn't America ready for a fresh start. Aren't we all just tired of the Clintons. The Bushes. Aren't we. Aren't we. Huh?"
