A shout out to the fence sitters! |
|
How many of us are there who are enjoying watching, listening and thinking about ALL of our wonderful candidates for President?
It is nice that there are those who have thrown their support behind a certain person, but I must say, it is interesting to watch the action from the fencepost.
I love Hillary and I don't like some of her positions.
I love Obama but I'm not sure about him yet.
I adore Edwards but am not sure he can win.
Dennis is the bomb - he is everything I am but I worry about his image issues (which piss me off because Americans are so shallow)
Gravel? Man I'm glad he is in it. What a hoot and boy does he have a reality bite about him, huh?
Dodd...now there is an elder statesman. Wow, the guy sure has a lot of time and experience under his belt.
Biden is a fun guy to listen to. I feel that he is honest with me.
Bill Richardson is a guy to listen to as well. He has major experience at the state and federal levels.
Others? Clark...mmmmm...man wouldn't it be cool if he was in it?
I yearn for Gore but don't think he will jump in.
So, all ye fence sitters, please yell at me in this thread and say hi. What is it that makes you continue to stay on the fence and what is it that makes you happy to be there?
And DU community...regardless of your candidate or position, I love ya all! You are my first view in the morning and last view at night. We may all disagree at times but damn it, if you had not been here for the past six years I don't know what my mental state would be like!

I quite enjoy it :patriot:
While I like all the candidates to one degree or another , I had hoped for Gore to run .

2. I'm not ready to decide as yet... |
|
And I probably won't until the primary ballots go to print:)
Leaning toward Edwards... but holding out hope that Gore will join the games.

3. We do have a huge number of completely qualified candidates |
|
against an extremely ill-qualified bunch on the other side. It's almost an embarrassment of riches.
I'm in no hurry to jump onto any particular bandwagon. I'm quite content to listen carefully, and then weigh everything when the time is right. There's a lot of time before our primary!

14. I love that positive way of looking at it |
|
We DO have a great number of extremely qualified candidates. When you hold all of ours up against the bozos on the other side there is quite a stark difference.

15. Even the guys being touted as "second tier" are just miles |
|
ahead.
You're doing pretty well when Biden, Richardson and Dodd are supposedly the "second best", you know?

11. Plus, it's way too early. |
|
What the hell is wrong with everybody? Politicians are campaigning instead of doing their jobs!!! :wtf:
The way I am feeling right now is I won't vote for ANYONE who campaigns more than a year in advance. It's like seeing non-stop x-mas adverts on TV in the middle of Summer!

7. I'm scared shitless about the primaries and the future and |
|
it's to early, in my book, to even lean towards just one but right now; I lean heavily towards Kucinich. He has the most integrity, as far as I can see.
Gravel is a hoot and I love, that he's giving them all, a run for their money! :P

9. I also adore Edwards, but he is not kissing enough corporate @$$..... |

..... and that has corporate supporters spreading bad publicity about him.

10. I always try to stay 'fluid' in the early part of the race... |
|
I think I'm thinking pretty similar thoughts re: the OPs picks and positions, but I can't commit to a specific candidate just yet...
