What Will Shock America Most About Bu$hCorp in Ten Years?
We all know what pisses us off right now, but things have a way of coming out over time, and things that we suspect have a way of being proved when the evidence trickles out.

What do you think will be the most shocking thing about the Bush regime that even the general public will be talking about in ten years' time?

I think it will be that their inaction in the aftermath of Katrina was not incompetence, or even apathy, but a deliberate, carefully planned attempt to kill off the poorest people on the Gulf Coast.

What do you think?

4. That the average American citizen knew NOTHING
because the corporate media was intentionally silent and intentionally misleading.

If we get out of this with our country and environment intact, there will need to be safeguards put in place immediately starting January 21, 2009 that will guarantee an impartial fourth estate.

But I guess if I could pick one revelation among them all
it would be the fact that the congress was complicit in all
the crimes while they stuffed their piggy pockets with
corporate cash.

19. and when all those folks who try to retire and find that they can't
because their pension funds dried up and their house values plummeted, we'll be seeing those folks learn of a new form of slavery - having to bag groceries to pay for your utility bills and medications.

Already seeing it in my area. It's really bad when an 80 year old guy has to take this sort of job to pay for the extras he thought his retirement was going to cover.

It's hard to imagine right now.

Edited on Fri Jul-27-07 10:48 PM by Double T
has made a deliberate attempt to crush and destroy EVERYONE in the middle class on down to the poorest of the poor. In 10 years America will be looking and acting more like a third world nation with a gutted economy, worthless currency, debt beyond anyone's wildest imagination and real hardcore poverty. Most of 'US' will be cursing the bush crime family for what they have done.

11. Well heck, we know that NOW!
But you are right, we are the minority-
The MAJORITY still have no clue and
can't imagine where it will all be in ten years.

Ever listen to the callers on C-Span Washington Journal?
Some of them are starting to have a clue.

23. That's where I'm at, Dbl T -- the US will be a hollow shell, financially
ruined by these bastards, right at the time when we will need the will and the money to design and produce a completely different type of society that can run without massive inputs of oil. We will have shot our wad in a stupid war and crony capitalism, leaving nothing. Their names will be curse words for a thousand years.

25. The ruling class (i.e. the rich) have systematically looted this country.
I think you are right--by the time the public finally wakes up to this, we will not have the resources to deal with the effects of this massive betrayal.

13. I think people will be looking at each other and shaking their heads
wondering how nearly half of us could have been stupid enough to buy that much bullshit.

Millennial Fever will be forgotten and Dispensationalism will be back on the lunatic fringe where it so rightfully belongs. People will simply lack a reference point to understand the insanity.

That's just if we manage to get rid of this bunch according to law in 2009. I am hoping that we will. No one that unpopular can manage to lead for long, but it will require a great deal of effort on our part to throw them out if they do not voluntarily go.

21. the elections...
I think it all goes back to the elections. The US attorneys were fired because they were or weren't prosecuting election cases. We all know they stole the election - both times! And I truly think that will be their Watergate - the elections.

Edited on Sat Jul-28-07 12:41 PM by kenny blankenship
they'll scoff at you if you try to tell them things in America were ever run differently.

Bu$hCorp will consolidate its hold on America in the next Democratic Administration. Perhaps a quarter of Bush's abuses will be reversed. The breakdown he's started through his imperial blundering will continue to spread decay in the position of the US as a world power and it will continue to erode the structure of our government and individual liberties. People will mistake the marginal reforms for a fundamental change of direction and a complete restoration of the old Republic. Then Rethugs will come to power again.

I don;t know what to add . 10 years is a long time when we are stuck in bush world . Ten years from now many of us may be speaking from the grave .

Things continue to go downhill , how do you stop a runaway train with no brakes .

30. I sometimes wonder the same thing.
In my darker moments, I suspect that it's already too late to do anything. Even if control of the government switches in the next election, the reactionaries still control the media and will use it to smear everyone who tries to make things better, keep everyone scared, etc.

But we have to keep hope alive, so I try.

31. Well, that will be about 6 or 7 years into the Second Republic. . .
and Mr. Bush will have died of tertiary syphillis several years before, Noelle Bush will have died with a needle in her arm in her trick pad in Hollywood, Daddy and Mama Bush will be living off the charity of their former family retainers in Paraguay, Laura's attempted murder probation will be finished, and finally finished with her drug cleansing program wake up one day and move to Berkeley where she is now a very happy kids librarian writing about "The Lost Years". Let's see, the Bush Brothers will all be in jail. Ricky Martin Bush will be sentenced to death a few years earlier for leading a coup attempt in the Bolivarian Alliance.
Brittany Spears will be doing MILF porn with Lindsay Lohan, the Bush Girls get a square of their own for Hollywood Squares 2115, but bomb.
After 8 years as President, Wes Clark becomes the head of the New OAS with its headquarters in Havana, working on raising living standards for everyone in the Americas.
China will have a major revolution and become the world's largest representative democracy, the Saudi Arabia of the past will become an object of ridicule and the Mideastern Democratic Alliance will be in charge from the Jordan to Iran, and the capitol will be Damascus.
Iran will become the major high tech exporter after the popular revolution. And Warp drive will follow soon after. . . and dogs will be able to fly and talk.
