Have you ever seen a more feckless, pandering POS with the hugest sense of entitlement
than Mitt Romney. I've been kinda watching his drivel on CSPAN now since I'm too lazy to go pick up the remote to change the channel. Mitt boy is all about protecting the money he and his buddies inherited from their daddies. Says the way for poor people to be able to get decent health care is to be able to afford insurance. Gonna make college education affordable too. Doesn't say a word about how people are going to be educated enough to go to college to begin with. ANd we need more war on terra, terra, terra. Wants to and 150K more people to the military and fund it more. Not a word about his big strappin' sons volunteering. He's training them to protect their trust funds too. And he's all about life and oceans. And he won't talk to dicktaters either, even if it means calming the world down. The campaign ad he's proud of is the one that doesn't have his picture in it. Now that really says something there. Most telling statement of all his drivel.

7. Because absurd conspicuous consumption by the elites is expected?

They just get mad when the nouveau riche try to act like one of the aristocrats. Seems uppity to them I guess.

Really though, I guess the reason it has legs is that there is no liberal media, one.

And secondly, Edwards is running on a campaign to address poverty in the US, and having a haircut that costs more than someone on minimum wage makes in a week after taxes is low hanging fruit for a lazy, partisan media.

Republicans don't care about the poor, so wasteful spending isn't a story. It's a way of life.

8. The media has become an elite class.
When multimillion dollar contracts were given out, they joined the upper class.

11. I keep reminding everyone that this man is a MORMON (translate that as right wing extremist)
I don't give a damn what people believe in the way of religion, but when it comes to WHO is going to make a White House run, I definitely observe very seriously what the person believes.

The Mormon Church is the richest, most powerful right wing extremist "church," bank, political organization and land owners in the U.S. I believe it was either Time or Newsweek that had a whole issue devoted to the exposure of this incredibly wealthy "church" and the right wing secretiveness of it. Then, PBS had a wonderful documentary on the church as well. You ought to get hold of both.

Ex-Mormons of course are a fast way of finding out what goes on in this secretive church of theirs.

http://mormontruth.blogspot.com/2005/09/why-would-mormon-church-need-to-ask.html

Lastly, it bothers the hell out of me that one of their secret (secret because they go out of their way to not let non-Mormons know this) beliefs is that Mormon males, after death, will each become a God and rule over 1 planet, in which each will live with his harem of women in happy polygamy. I'm sure men won't take this last thing as seriously at all. After all, this belief doesn't involve viewing men as chattel, but viewing WOMEN as chattel, so it's women that have to be wary of Mormons and their sick attitudes towards females.
