4. It strikes me as odd that both Dimwit & Darth had Saturday procedures.

All the hospitals I've ever been in were virtual deserts on weekends apart from cafeteria, housekeeping, nursing, and emergency room staff. There were certainly never any tests or non-emergency procedures carried out on weekends.

Are military hospitals different? Do non-emergency procedures usually get performed on regular patients on weekends? After all, what's good enough for the troops who actually serve in combat ought to be good enough for a AWOL TNG officer and a five-deferment draft dodger.

10. Two of my children have this procedure. They have implanted defibrillator's.

Due to a heart problem that caused the death of our son, 2 of our children have these devices. They have the defibs with the combination pacemakers. The heart problem they have is called Long QT Syndrome. I can tell you the 1st implants were almost $80,000. They have their batteries changed every 5-6 years. Each time they do a battery change they change the whole device because new ones keep coming out.
