CNN to Replace Zahn with Campbell Brown
Brown to replace Zahn at CNN
Compiled from Post wire services

Paula Zahn is leaving CNN, turning her prime-time slot over to Campbell Brown. Zahn's final program will be Aug. 2. Others will fill in until November, when Brown - newly hired from NBC News - will start, CNN said this week.

Zahn has been at the network for nearly six years since jumping from Fox News Channel - her first day on the job Sept. 11, 2001.....

Campbell Brown.

"Weekend Today co-anchor Campbell Brown, 37, and Dan Senor, 34, a FOX News analyst, were married on Sunday in Colorado....Senor, a Republican strategist as well as a FOX News contributor, previously worked in Iraq as a spokesperson for and senior advisor to U.S. Ambassador Paul Bremer.

Senor's history is fascinating. After graduating valedictorian from Harvard Business School, he ended up at the Carlyle Group. He became "Senior Advisor to the Coalition in Iraq," i.e. the war spokesperson.

Zahn's replacement is married to the war spokesperson. What could possibly go wrongggggggggggggg/gg?

After all, we've seen how well beltway media personalities can compartmentalize. Look at Matlain/Carville and Howie Kurtz!, she said, tongue piercing holes in cheek.

Dan Senor on CNN: "Well, Bill, every day, life increasingly returns to normal for Iraqis...."

How could anyone expect themselves to retain any journalistic integrity in the face of such delusion at home?

3. That's not much of a replacement if they are trying to compete with Keith.

4. I was not really a Paula Zahn fan, but Campbell Brown will be worse
I bet Paula Zahn finds her way to MSNBC in due time.

6. Do you care....CNN is permanently programmed out of my remote anyway.
Nobody but Keith has that time slot anyway.

9. What happened to Zahn?
"Pursuing other interests," or whatever the euphemism is these days?

I heard this on "Reliable Sources" today and was quite dismayed to see Campbell Brown coming on board.

10. It is called ratings
with the right watching Orally, the left Olbermann and the rest American Idol or something, Zahn could not find her niche.
